>Wedding Wednesday – Invitations

April 13, 2011

>

I have been staring at this bowl of ribbon and burlap for a few days now.  Ribbon gets cut, goes in the bowl, gets taken out and wrapped around invitations.  Ribbon gets used, new ribbon gets cut, but it never seems to go away.  Today I need to buy more ribbon.  And burlap.

The end result, she is worth it!  Ben designed our invitations and had them printed with Vistaprint.  We are very happy with the result.  My only complaint: after spending hundreds of dollars on save-the-dates and this order, they still wanted $10 to not print their name all over the inside of the envelopes.  However, they included a king’s ransom in blank white envelopes (in two sizes even!).  I would have much rather had their name NOT all over the insides of the envelopes than a lifetime supply of the blank whites.  We giggled.  But really I shouldn’t complain, because we got what we needed.  The invitations look and feel great.  I can’t wait to send them out!  Almost done, almost done.

Happy Hump-Day!  I spent the afternoon on the phone with the woman doing the flowers and she is fabulous.  I was so worried it was too late!  Not so.  Huzzah!  So many other things to do, despite my ultra-productive day yesterday.  The real question is this: Do I want to put on pants and leave the house on this cold, rainy day?  Well when I put it like that, the answer is so obvious!  *finds the warmest blanket and a kitty*

    >They look wonderful! Ben did a great job, and you are doing a wonderful job putting them together:) I just used vistaprint for something and found that they are cheap yes, but with tricky catches. They wanted DOUBLE the money to have it shipped within a reasonable amount of time, and I didn't pay it, and they sent them to me early anyway. Like you say, I guess you can't complain- just have to watch out for their weird tricks. Glad it's all coming together!

    >Thanks everyone for the compliments! We've been trying to make everything look super cute, and I think its working out. So much left to do though!!

    >Nancy – Yes we noticed that they have some weird things going on; sometimes they work out in your favor and sometimes not. With our first order (save-the-dates) they included a coupon for 25% off a smaller order.. we should have only done like 75% of the cards we needed and used the coupon for the rest. Oops. I love that they ended up sending yours early though!

    >I know. What a "weird coincidence" of them. Haha. I know for the future not to waste money on quicker shipping. It's hard to figure them out for sure- maybe now you can use the 25% off card for something business related?
